Purpose & Mission - Transdisciplinary & African-centered Pedagogy
The Journal is international, and thus aims to present timely research as a media worthy body of literature that will also be examined at the annual HHEW Leaders Conference & Retreat. The main purpose of the Journal of Unabridged Genius is to report on original research and experimentation in order to make such information available to the rest of the scholarly world, and leaders and organizations, nationally and internationally.
If you have yet to publish ten books, 500 refereed articles or generated $100 million in grants or revenue for your institution (which most of us have not or ever will), then the Journal of Unabridged Genius is a great intermediate or beginning publication! Our primary contributors are not the above generators. Our contributors are primarily those at the early or mid points in their upward careers, although senior faculty, CEOs and administrators are welcome and encouraged to contribute.
Using the TALO Leadership Theory as its theoretical foundation, the Journal of Unabridged Genius is the official founding scholarly e-journal of INVR Standards / HHEW. It is a fully refereed, open access, electronic journal. It welcomes papers on theoretical and practical areas in a multitude of disciplines 24/7. Papers are refereed in the traditional way, with two or more referees per paper.
The authors submit their papers to the editor, who has the option of assigning it to several other readers or experts in their (sub)discipline, who review it more thoroughly to see that the research was done properly. The names of the additional experts may be listed (with their permission) as they play an important role in monitoring the knowledge processing system. The board may advise the author of changes which will improve the paper, and advise the editor whether the article is original and significant enough to warrant publication. Copyright is shared by the Journal and the author. The research inside the Journal of Unabridged Genius will fit a wide range of subject categories including:
Ø Photos
Ø Commentary
Ø Case studies
Ø Book reviews
Ø Historical research
Ø Letters to the editor
Ø Dissertation abstracts
Ø Transdisciplinary research
The Journal strongly encourages submissions from junior-level academics and senior-level pracademics in the form of Scholarly Articles (approximately 10-15 pages, including references, tables, or figures), Policy Perspectives (10-12 pages), Commentaries (6-10 pages), Brief Reports (7-10 pages), Letters to the Editor-in-Chief (1 page), Dissertation Abstracts (1 page), and Book Reviews
(1-2 pages). Neither the length of the research nor the category to which research is assigned reflects preferential treatment.
