Please click EXECUTIVE SUMMARY, which summarizes the key points. An executive summary is commonly used in business, whereas an abstract (below) is usually found in academic research. Below is the theory's abstract.
ABSTRACT: Adding to the leadership theories stew from a transdisciplinary and African-world perspective is not very complex, but it is complex. I say this because, quite frankly, a lot of the often cited leadership theories and models are bad leadership theories and models because to not include the two just mentioned perspectives centrally would be like starting philosophy with Plato or Xenophon of Athens and overlooking Socrates, who incidentally, according to ksksksksk, learned much of his craft in TALO rhymes with “halo” and stands for “Traditional African Leadership Oaths. ”The TALO Leadership Theory premiered online January 20, 2009 @ www.invrhhew.info and www.taloleadershiptheory.info during the same hour that Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America. The theory predates his seminal emergence on the United States national political stage, but its core premises are validated by his image, successes and shortcomings during his presidential tenure. The theory helps describe, explain, and predict individual and group behavior. It is an important, best practices leadership theory encompassing organizational leadership, power, African-American studies, Africology (Afrikology), curriculum development, ethnic/ALANA studies and cultural proficiency. By encouraging people to develop an expanded schema, the theory re-positions the traditional examination of leadership. It is transgenerational and recognizes the core multi-ethnic circumstances of contemporary organizations and individuals nationally and globally. It suggests that for all people, understanding the panhuman African experience and ethnic identification is now key to understanding leadership knowledges in organizations, and that the eight traditional leadership profiles and patterns of Acknowledged Africans (black people) provide a lens and newshole (a.k.a. case study) for examining leadership and how dominant and secondary leadership knowledges are at play. Leadership knowledges include attitudes, beliefs, skills, programs, resources, tools, and values across an organization in support of its mission.
Key research words: Curriculum development, organizational leadership, leadership theories; African American studies; white privilege; ethnic/ALANA studies; cultural proficiency; diversity training, Africology, Afrikology, future of higher education, transdisciplinarity, multiculturalism..
